One place for two ways of drawing. Freeform canvas mode for rough ideas — pen strokes, boxes, arrows, handwriting. Structured diagram mode for architecture and schemas, where nodes have fixed shapes and arrows attach to connection points rather than being drawn by hand.

Both are documents in the same workspace, with the same styles and colors.

Yes. Sign-in, team workspaces, projects, documents, both editors, roles and permissions, diagram-as-code, the icon library, real-time collaboration, version history, share links, threaded comments, PNG/SVG/PDF export, and generating diagrams from a sentence are all working.

No passwords at all. Enter your email address, then open the sign-in link sent to your inbox. If the instance operator has enabled it, Google or GitHub sign-in is available too. Because that link is also the key, anyone who can open your email can open your account.

There is none, and there never will be. Both drawing engines are written in-house — not third-party libraries that demand attribution in the corner of the canvas. That is one of the reasons they were built from scratch.

There isn't one. Changes are saved 0.8 seconds after your hand stops, and the save status is always visible in the editor header — “Saving…”, “Saved”, or an error message if it fails. Closing the tab while changes are pending prompts a browser confirmation first.

Open the node panel with the hamburger button at the top left of the canvas. It holds the basic shapes — table, node, group — and the icon library: generic shapes plus AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure vocabulary, searchable by name or keyword. Click to place at the center of the screen, or drag to a specific point.

You can also write the diagram as text. The Source panel compiles what you type into nodes and relations, and computes the layout for you.

Yes. Numbers 1–8 switch tools, ⌘/Ctrl+Z undoes, ⇧⌘/Ctrl+Z redoes, Delete removes the selection, double-click writes text at that point, the wheel pans the canvas, and ⌘/Ctrl+wheel zooms.

Yes, through the Export button in the editor header. SVG stays sharp at any size, PNG is produced with its longest side at 2048 pixels, and PDF carries vectors with selectable text — for printing or dropping into another document.

5,000 elements, and 8 MB for a stored document. A document over the element limit opens read-only, so its contents aren't silently truncated on save. This limit exists because the whole document is rewritten on every save; it will change once incremental saving lands.

Yes, when the instance has a collaboration server configured. Several people can open the same document, see each other's cursors, and follow someone else's viewport by clicking their avatar. Changes merge per field rather than overwriting each other, and while collaboration is live the per-tab autosave is switched off precisely so a stale tab cannot overwrite anyone.

Through Settings → Members in the workspace sidebar. Invitations are sent by email, and the recipient has to press a confirmation button to accept. The available roles are owner, admin, editor, and viewer — and you cannot grant a role higher than your own.

Yes. The Share panel in the editor publishes a link that grants view, comment, or edit access, with an expiry you choose. A link can never grant more than your own role, and revoking it closes access immediately — including for anyone who has the document open at that moment. The link is shown once and only its hash is stored.

Yes, as long as it hasn't been permanently removed. Discarded documents go to Trash in the workspace sidebar and can be restored from there.

No. Document contents are not used to train any model, are not sold, and are not shared with advertisers. There is not a single third-party tracker on any page. The Privacy Policy names every category of data that is actually stored.

Not available through the interface yet. Workspaces and documents can be deleted yourself, and deleting a workspace also deletes its projects, documents, memberships, and invitations. Deleting an account together with all of its data still has to be requested directly.

Every data request is checked against workspace membership in the same layer that fetches the data, image files are only reachable through signed links that expire, and sign-in attempts are rate limited. Even so, as with any service: don't keep the only copy of something important here.

Documents you already have stay open and editable. To create the next one, move up a plan on the pricing page, or delete a document you no longer use — only documents still in use are counted.
